Jeanne says: I felt great in this outfit. I love my new cropped sweater from Club Monaco and, as always, nothing is so good as the perfect white t-shirt and black pants. My olive drab jacket from Zara was the perfect top-off. I always envy people who wear the perfect basics and keep things simple. I guess this was my attempt.
I am loving Kate’s mixed patterns here with her little olive drab jacket and cognac oxfords. She is showing her stylish ability to mix stripes and polka dots. I also adore her new shorter haircut; somehow, it makes everything she wears look sportier and fresher. It always interests me that she thinks I’m a riskier dresser than she is — this look is pretty risky and she pulls it off perfectly.
Kate says: If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen my haircut already. But here is its blog debut! I’m really happy with it, and like Mom says, it makes all my clothes look fresher and more interesting (at least to me). I loved this combination of bright stripes and dots — and the oxfords and jacket made this feel very early-fall. This moto-style jacket is going to be so useful — I’ve already gotten many wears out of it.
I love how Mom throws her jacket on with a dressier outfit. That’s the great thing about these green canvas jackets. So versatile! Her black and white combo is super chic — so simple, but with very stylish pieces. I know I would have been tempted to throw in some more color, but sometimes simple is best.
