Jeanne says: The dangers of dressing in the dark! I thought the navy in these pants matched the navy in the sweater. I still like the outfit, but I was surprised about how the pic turned out! I LOVE coral and navy together so I was delighted to find these flowy silk pants from J.Crew (on sale of course). Such a cool and comfortable pant for warmer weather.
I love Kate’s coral and magenta combination. Coral is an amazing color on her. Come to think of it, who DOESN’T look good in coral? It is a warm and mostly flattering shade. Kate has combined it with her animal print shoes and black tights and she looks smashing. Although I see snow on the ground behind her, this ensemble is a great one for the transition between seasons.
Kate says: I love pairing coral with other pink/purple colors — they complement each other so nicely! I have gotten a TON of wear out of this cotton J.Crew Factory sweater, and I have fun finding new items to wear it with. Like this chevron print Loft skirt. This is a great example of summer weight items (all cotton) that I warmed up with black tights.
I love Mom’s anecdote about getting dressed in the dark — we’ve all been there! I love these silky pants with the coral shell, but I have to admit that the polka dot cardigan might be too much for me! With the flowy silhouette of both top and bottom, I would have preferred a more structured jacket or blazer to add some balance. But Mom’s right — coral and navy are a brilliant combo!
